Edward Villanueva is a Senior Associate at DeMartini, Walker, & Ghaedi LLP. He has over 26 years of experience in the real estate industry as a commercial loan originator and servicer, 1031 exchange rep., real estate broker, FINRA-licensed securities Principal, and attorney. During his career, he has originated over $500 million in commercial real estate loans and serviced commercial real estate loan portfolios in excess of a billion dollars. He’s also advised real estate investors on 1031 exchanges, residential and commercial purchases and sales, and residential and commercial leasing.
In his current role with the firm, he specializes in representing clients in selling and purchasing commercial and residential real estate, real estate contract disputes, and property managers and owners in landlord-tenant matters.
In addition to practicing law, Edward was also a State Bar of California bar exam grader for approximately 15 years, focusing on the Real Estate and Contract Law sections of the exam. Since 2011, he has also been an Adjunct Professor at two local community colleges, where he has taught Real Estate Law, Principles, Practice, and Finance to individuals seeking to acquire their DRE sales/broker’s license.

Interests
Edward grew up in Queens, New York and attended St. Francis Prep High School where he played on the 1986 New York City championship football team. He also played football for Ithaca College and was part of the 1988 Division III National Championship team. Edward also enjoyed coaching girls’ softball for his daughter’s teams while playing for San Rafael Girls Softball and is a past president of Marin Girls Softball League. Edward’s current passion is playing tennis and organizing various United States Tennis Association teams throughout the year.
